OUR WORK PROCESS

What We Are Proud Of

01
Initial Consultation

At your convenience, we’ll arrange a design consultation to evaluate your needs and explore potential kitchen or bathroom designs, along with the advantages you aim to achieve through remodeling. Crucially, our team will examine your budget and provide you with a preliminary estimate derived from our experience with similar projects. This first encounter will assist you in determining whether our services align well with your bespoke renovation needs.

02
Design

Upon receiving your design retainer for the Remodeling Presentation, we will collaborate to outline the project’s overarching conceptual themes in three key steps:

  1. We will create a “Scope of Work” document that captures all your desires, aspirations, and objectives in writing.
  2. Based on the Scope of Work, we’ll produce “Preliminary Floor Plan” drawings to visually represent your goals.
  3. A budget analysis will be performed to refine the estimated cost to a precision of plus or minus 10% of the final cost, using the Scope of Work and Preliminary Floor Plans as a basis.
03
Planning

The final phase of our design process involves completing all necessary structural and detail drawings for your project, including engineering and framing specifics, electrical and lighting schematics, and cabinetry arrangements. Once these details are finalized, we will establish a fixed project budget.

We will then provide you with an estimated timeframe for the commencement of your home renovation, along with a projected timeline for the construction phase. Furthermore, we initiate all preparatory activities behind the scenes, such as ordering materials, compiling material lists, securing required permits, and creating the production timeline that will guide our work.

04
Build

We will go over the project specifics once again, resolving any questions you might have and talking through any special requirements necessary for working within your home. From the moment construction begins, our dedication to the project is unwavering, ensuring we treat your home with respect, maintain cleanliness and safety, and ultimately, deliver a stunningly completed project to you.

Hear What Our Happy Clients Have to Say.

I just needed something, and I wasn’t even sure what it was. My interior colors just didn’t feel like me anymore. Maggie came in and just “saw” it. She helped me get some new furniture, new paint colors, curtains, new throw pillows, and had some old furniture painted. I absolutely love it now and I can “see myself inside”! It is now a beautiful place that makes me feel comfortable. Feels like home. Thanks Maggie! We just luv ya girl!

Maggie’s attention to detail and bubbly personality was refreshing to work with. I was not looking forward to making all the decision for our kitchen remodel. Maggie picked up on “our style” & traditional roots & offered beautiful selections. Her years of experience helped us communicate the design details to our contractor and now we have a stunning kitchen that functions perfectly just for us. We definitely “see ourselves inside! Thank you, Maggie G.!

Mandy Reynolds Indian Springs, AL

Building a new home is such an enormous project, and although we had an interior designer to work with, meeting with Maggie to handle all the cabinetry was a gift! She was very kind to all those she worked with and listened to all involved in the project. We simply love her! The cabinetry turned out amazing and is so functional for such a large entertaining space. We especially love the stacked cabinets with glass that light up our special glassware. She really shined in her design when it came to our built- ins on either side of our fireplace. We did not want a TV on the fireplace, so we opted to have it in the upper cabinet portion of one of the built-ins. She used opaque glass, and created large pocket doors that slid back once you opened them, so we could utilize the TV. Lovely girl, beautiful design, and love that spunk! So fun! Thank you, for helping us “see” our new home.

The most popular question asked when starting a project is, where do I start? Too often, people come walk into a showroom seeming overwhelmed or confused at the idea of taking on a project. The first place you should always start is with a professional. A professional designer will be able to guide you through the process and help you determine what your needs, wants, and goals are.

Determining a budget can be difficult. This Is something you probably haven’t done before, you maybe only remodel a kitchen once or twice in your lifetime. There are many factors that go into determining a budget that it is really important to have this conversation with your designer. What are your priorities? What are your goals? If you haven’t been able to determine a number you are comfortable spending; let your designer guide you through what he or she thinks it may cost, if that’s in a range that’s comfortable for you, and whether or not you need to make adjustments to that based upon your wish list.

Talking about money can often be uncomfortable. Your designer should be able to help guide you through that, by asking a you series of question about what your want or needs are and help you prioritize that. By giving your designer a budget, you’re helping them work more efficiently towards your goal. A good designer will be able to help you maximize your budget, showing you where you should spend your money for the most impact. For example when planning a kitchen, maybe your priority is a higher-end quartz countertop, maybe that doesn’t quite fit into the budget the way you had everything planned. Where else can we compromise? Maybe we can pick a less expensive ceramic tile versus porcelain or matching stone. There are many ways we can adjust your budget and being honest with your designer will really help them maximize your budget for you; ultimately giving you your dream space.

When planning a project, a timeline is important. We want to make sure the scope of the work fits into your expectations about the length of time your home may be under construction. Naturally, an average kitchen remodel may take anywhere from three-six months to complete, but at Kitchen and Bath World, because we use company trained employees, your installation we can control the project from start to finish. That means an average kitchen remodel for us, will take four-six weeks to complete.

Doing a remodel on your home is an investment. That being said, you want to make sure you love this space ten or twenty years from now. I always encourage my clients to pick the large-scale items in the room that will be more timeless. For example, your kitchen cabinetry is a permanent fixture in the space, let’s make sure those finishes will still be popular and current in ten or twenty years. Let’s have fun with the tile backsplash, your wall color, or other ways you can follow the trend and still have that be able to be refreshed sometime in the future.

Often, homeowners get excited about the idea of picking finishes for their space, whether it’s a kitchen, bath, laundry room, family room, you name it. However, you always need to consider the first step will be planning the space. How is it going to fit and function for your lifestyle and your family? Once you actually have a layout, then is the time to start applying the finishes to that space.
